Our Story: Helping Families Navigate Life Transitions and Estate Challenges

 

In 1995, after decades of family vacations in the Lowcountry, my parents retired and built their dream home in Heritage Plantation. For 23 wonderful years, it was the place where our family gathered, celebrated, and created lasting memories. When they both passed away in 2018, we were left to manage their estate and the responsibilities that come with an inherited property.

Because the home was more than 20 years old, it required significant updates to meet the expectations of today’s buyers. At the same time, we found ourselves coordinating the care of two pets, managing an additional vehicle, and navigating the many logistical details that accompany a major transition.

At Ally Home Solutions, LLC, our mission is to provide comprehensive, customized home‑transition and estate‑support services for families navigating the challenges that follow a loved one’s passing or relocation to assisted living—particularly when family members live out of state.

In many retirement communities, adult children and relatives are managing responsibilities from afar, often juggling home repairs, renovations, property sales or purchases, and ongoing household needs. These situations can be emotionally overwhelming, especially when paired with the demands of grief, caregiving, or major life transitions.

We step in to bridge that gap. Our team supports families with professionalism, compassion, and consistent communication, ensuring every detail is handled with care. Our goal is to simplify the process so families can focus on healing, supporting one another, and honoring their loved one’s legacy while we manage the logistics.

Founded by Linda Rushing, a retired local real estate appraiser, and Brent Holland, a home builder and Realtor® with more than 30 years of industry experience, Ally Home Solutions, LLC brings trusted expertise to families navigating major life transitions. Our team provides informed guidance in property evaluation, real estate decision‑making, and comprehensive home‑transition support during times of significant change.

More than seasoned professionals, we are neighbors who have walked this path ourselves. Through our own experiences with family loss, we recognized the need for a truly local ally—someone who can step in when the logistics become overwhelming. We coordinate, oversee, and manage repairs, renovations, maintenance, and improvements to the property as requested and approved by the Client.

🏡 Home Sales Solutions

We assist with preparing the property for sale, including engaging a real estate agent, staging, closing coordination, and logistical support. 

🧹 Home and Estate Clean-Out Services

We assist with inventorying, organizing, selling, donating, or disposing of personal property at Client’s direction.

🐾 Pet Rehoming Support During Estate Transitions

We assist in locating potential rehoming options, including shelters, rescues, foster placements, or private adopters.

🚗 Vehicle Disposition Assistance

We assist with vehicle valuation, preparation, sale coordination, donation, or disposal through third parties as agreed by the Client.
